the BasicsName: Marcus Wade Sisneros Age: twenty-seven DOB: October 18 Location: Marcus was born in Las Vegas, Nevada to a single mother, but around the time when he was a toddler they moved to upstate New York with his soon to be step-father. Currently he resides in an apartment in New York City. Orientation: Straight Occupation: Trauma Surgeon Marital Status: Single. Recently broke up with his girlfriend of three years. Smoke/Drink/Drugs: yes/on occasion/no Appearance: Marcus inherited Spanish roots from his mother, who's parent's actually immigrated from Spain to the United States before she was born. He has dark brown hair that is cut half past his ears, and falls across his forehead and into his face just the slightest bit. His eyes are a deep brown color as well, and they're very large and round. A larger than average nose is set in the middle of his face, and has a notable arch that runs from bottom of the bridge of his nose to the tip. It's something Marcus is self conscious about. Personality: Overall, Marcus is a laid-back fun loving guy, however his job is always stressing him out, which makes those traits sometimes hard to see. He can come off as hard, stony, and grumpy to people just meeting him, for instance, his patients, but that doesn't mean there isn't a warm and kind side underneath this facade. Still, he knows how to cut loose and hang back. He has a good sense of humor, though it is sarcastic and sometimes a little too blunt. He's a childish man, always laughs at inappropriate jokes and just sees things with a bit of a young-minded perspective. Another thing about Marcus is that he's stubborn, if he doesn't get what he wants he'll go after it forever until he gets it. A horrible temper is one of the more prominent negative traits Marcus has. sometimes the stupidest, most minuscule things will tick him off, leaving him in a sour mood for the rest of he day. He's not afraid to raise his voice around anyone, and if somebody is making him angry, he's not scared to call them out either. But Marcus is a good hearted man, maybe even a little too much. He cares about people, it's one of the reasons he became a doctor, besides his step father forcing him into it, but he enjoys his job at the end of the day, even when he knows he can't save everybody.

the History
Carmen Sisneros was not raised in a wealthy family. Her parents immigrated from Spain before she was born, and once they were in the U.S.A. her father would take any minimum wage job he could find. This lead the small family around the country until Carmen was sixteen, when they finally settled in Nevada for the long term. By the time the teenager graduated, she didn't have the money or the will power to go to college, so she just took things day by day. That is, until a small vacation to the sunset strip with her friends she discovered a career that would make her tons of money without any experience necessary: prostitution. It wasn't something she was proud of, and it did come with risks, but it got her a steady income, a concept she had grasped until then. She was popular in her field, and for a few years she lived her life in secrecy, telling family and close friends she had gotten a desk job. It was when she was 21 reality hit her. Carmen was pregnant, and she had no idea who the father was. She came to terms with becoming a mother, and realized she needed to stop what she was doing and find a new, honest way of making a living. So, she moved back in with her gracious parents and took a job waiting at a local diner. Marcus was born to a crowded home that lacked money, but it was a genuinely happy atmosphere none the less. Then, before he could even remember, his and his mother's lives changed forever. While she was working, Carmen caught the eye of a Nowegian businessman by the name of John who resided in New York but was visiting Las Vegas for a small vacation. To cut to the chase, they fell in love, and to upstate New York Carmen and Marcus moved, a true from rags to riches tale. Life went on, Marcus grew in palatial luxury, Carmen lived the life of a house wife. John was a good man, him and his new wife went on to have a sucessful married life. As a child Marcus picked up soccer, and going into his adolescence found himself infatuated with music, singing and guitar in particular. It seemed he had the perfect life, except for the nagging fact that he didn't have a clue who his biological father was, and John was quite the strict man. Still, it was Marcus's dream to take on music as a career for the rest of his life, even after he won a soccer scholarship to a great school in New England. His parents thought otherwise, and after a lot of persuasion from John and some thoughts to himself, Marcus realized the medical field was calling him. The teenage rockstar fantasies were forgotten and the young man hit the books, desperate to graduate and continue on to medical school, which he did, with flying colors. It was when he started his internship for a hospital in New York City when he realized how much this doctor thing meant. He decided to specialize in Trauma, although he didn't know why. It was quite a shock to him really, seeing these patients coming into the hospital fresh from car wrecks and freak accidents, their bodies messy and contorted. When he first started some cases were grusome enough to make Marcus vomit. On the other hand, he did enjoy the feeling he got when he truly did save someone's life, and he loved it. There were the exceptions though, the people that didn't survive under his hands. He's been working full time as a surgeon for half of a year, and still gets the same exact feeling everytime a patient of his dies. It's enough to drive him crazy at times, all the stress it a lot to deal with. He and his longterm girlfriend of three years broke up a few months ago to add to everything, putting him in even more of a funk. Marcus looks ahead to the future though, the future where he isn't just the new kid in the hospital, the moment when he is defined as a doctor.
